Coinciding with the European Mobility Week, which took place from Monday September 17 to day 21, the Foundation of the National Confederation of Driving Schools (CNAE, in spanish) and the Spanish Confederation of Organisations for Persons with Intellectual Disability (FEAPS in spanish) have promoted the campaign “towards a secure mobility for people with disabilities”, which started on Thursday, September 20, in 18 Spanish provinces, with a training day on road safety for people with disabilities.
This campaign aims to promote road safety training for people with disabilities. Alfredo Campa, director of CNAE Foundation, which seeks this project is “to these people through training a sufficient degree of autonomy so that they can cope in a safe in the road environment. “
Participants in this campaign road training were presented with the “Pedestrian Guide. For the integration of people with disabilities in a secure mobility”, which is aimed at people with disabilities, their families and those who work with them. Moreover also shared service centers and disability support institutions, government agencies and health centers, and distribution centers will have no cost for belonging to FEAPS or for driving schools and training centers as such road.
It was attended by 45 disabled centers across 18 provinces throughout Spain: Barcelona, Toledo, Ciudad Real, La Rioja, the Balearic Islands, Girona, Lleida, Tarragona, Cáceres, Badajoz, Zamora, Palencia, Soria and Salamanca, Sevilla, Valencia and Madrid.
