During the months of July and August have produced 78.5 million long-haul journeys on our roads, with an average of 1.265.000 daily trips, representing an increase of 3.27% to movement there was the summer past (75.9 million).
With these data, the DGT has published figures of road deaths this summer and the result is summarized in a decrease of 4% of the victims. Still 223 people have been killed in traffic accidents during the months of July and August on our roads, 10 less than last year.
39 of those killed were not wearing seatbelts, and there have been more deaths in van than last year (26 fatalities in 2014 compared to 3 in 2013).
